المستخلص: رواية طبيب "أرياف" صدرت عن تجربة المؤلف الحية والمباشرة، خلال فترة عمله في الريف المصري كطبيب، وكان تمثيل الواقع المصري هو السمة الرئيسة في هذه الرواية. وتصف الرواية الأوضاع الاجتماعية المتردية، في حياة الريف المصري في تلك الفترة، بين نهاية عصر الرئيس محمد أنور السادات وبداية عصر الرئيس مبارك. وتعرض هذه الرواية سوء الأحوال الصحية في المناطق الريفية، وصبر الفلاحين وعجزهم، وحياة النساء المقيدة تحت سلطة الذكورة، ونير التقاليد، وعجز الطبيب المتعاطف، وتفرده وعزلته وشكوكه في المستقبل، وقصة الغجر المحملة بروح الحرية والمقاومة. وقد أتى تصوير القرية بطريقة البناء المكاني بوجه عام، وإظهار الأبعاد الاجتماعية عبر بناء الشخصيات والأحداث حولها. ويتشابه رسم الشخصيات في الرواية مع رواية توفيق الحكيم الشهيرة "يوميات نائب في الأرياف". وهذا البحث يسعى إلى الكشف عن بناء الشخصيات في هاتين الروايتين، وإلى كشف عناصر الالتقاء والاختلاف في تشكيل الشخصيات في الروايتين، والمنهج المتبع هو المنهج التحليلي مستعينا بالمنهج الاجتماعي، والمنهج الوصفي. وفي هذا الإطار يتناول البحث حياة جماعة الفلاحين المتمثلة في الروايتين عبر فترة زمنية بين عام ۱۹۳۷ و۲۰۲۰، والمشاكل التي يعانون منها متشابهة كانت أو مختلفة، وعزلة البطل الذي ينوب عن عامة شباب ذلك العصر، ذوي الأفكار والحماسة والطموح، في مجتمع يعوقهم عن التعبير، فيشاهدون العالم ويشعرون بالعجز، ويبحثون عن مستقبلهم غير الواضح في الضباب. ومن نقاطة الالتقاء بين الروايتين في بناء الشخصيات أن في كل رواية منهما أكثر من عشر شخصيات، وتتكون من أربعة عناصر: الراوي، رجال الحكومة أو أصحاب النفوذ، العنصر النسائي، والفلاحون، وهذا على وجه العموم. أما على وجه الخصوص، أي في بناء شخصيات محددة، فجاءت بعض نقاط الاختلاف.

The novel "A Countryside Doctor" was published from the author's live and direct experience during his work in the Egyptian countryside as a doctor, and the representation of the Egyptian reality was the main feature in this novel. The novel describes the metric social conditions in the life of the Egyptian countryside in that period, between the end of the era of President Muhammad Anwar Sadat and the beginning of the era of President Mubarak. This novel presents poor health in rural areas, the patience and impotence of peasants, the life of women bound under the authority of masculinity, the yoke of tradition, the impotence of a sympathetic doctor, his exclusivity, isolation and doubts about the future, and the story of gypsies loaded with the spirit of freedom and resistance. The depiction of the village came in a way of spatial construction in general, and showing the social dimensions by building characters and events around it. The drawing of the characters in the novel is similar to Tawfiq al-Hakim's famous novel "Diaries of a Deputy in the Countryside". This research seeks to reveal the structure of the characters in these two novels, and to reveal the elements of convergence and difference in the formation of the characters in the two novels. In this context, the research deals with the life of the peasant group represented in the two novels over a period of time between 1937 and 2020, the problems they suffer from, whether they are similar or different, and the isolation of the hero who acts on behalf of the general youth of that era, with ideas, enthusiasm and ambition, in a society that hinders them from expression, so they watch The world feels helpless, and they search for their unclear future in the fog. One of the points of convergence between the two novels in building characters is that there are more than ten characters in each novel, and it consists of four elements: the narrator, the men of government or influential people, the female element, and the peasants, and this is in general. As for in particular, that is, in building specific characters, there were some points of difference.
