المستخلص: تهدف الدراسة إلى معرفة دور الآباء "الأحياء والمتوفين" في حفظ الحقوق، ودرء النزاعات، وفض الخصومات، وإعادة بناء العلاقات في المجتمعات الريفية، بالمقاربة مع رمزية الأب في النظرية الاجتماعية. ولتحقيق ذلك، تم اختيار عينة من المشاركين بطريقة عشوائية متعددة المراحل. وتم تنفيذها من شهر يناير إلى سبتمبر عام (2022). وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن دور "الآباء الأحياء" تجل لأبنائهم في ضمان: (1) حفظ الحقوق، بالعيش الكريم، وتأدية الالتزامات، وحرية التعبير عن الرأي، وأحقية التصرف، وإكمال التعليم. (2) درء النزاعات وفض الخصومات، بالحوار البناء، ووحدة الأسرة، وحل الخلافات الطارئة. (3) إعادة بناء العلاقات، بصلة الأرحام، والعلاقات الودية، واحترام التقاليد. كما ترك "الآباء المتوفون" ضمانا لأبنائهم لـ: (1) حفظ الحقوق، بمنح الأسرة مكانة اجتماعية محترمة، والعيش الكريم، والحق في متابعة التعليم. (2) درء النزاعات وفض الخصومات، بالدعم والحوار البناء، حفاظا على وحدة الأسرة. (3) إعادة بناء العلاقات بالانفتاح على الآخرين، وصالة الأرحام، وحسن الظن، وزيارة الأقارب، والعلاقات الودية. وأخيرا، توصي الدراسة بضرورة تعزيز دور السلطة الأبوية، لما لها من أثر إيجابي في حل الخلافات الأسرية، وإعادة بناء العلاقات مع الأقارب، ومراعاة حقوق أعضاء الأسرة.

The study aims at identifying the role of fathers, dead and living, in protecting rights, resolving disputes and reproduction of relationship in rural communities with respect to parental symbolism and authority as outlined in the social theory. To achieve this, a sample was randomly chosen and in a multi-stages method. It was implemented from January to December (2022).The study showed that the living father's authority towards their sons was embodied in: (1)Protecting rights in decent life, perform obligation, freedom of expressing opinion, the right to behave and continue education. (2)Resolving disputes via constructive dialogue and the unity of the family and solving emergent disputes. (3)Reproduction of relationship with open communication and establishing cordial connections with blood relatives and observing the traditions. As far as the parental authority of the dead is concerned, their obligations toward their families involve: (1)Protecting rights and granting families a decent social status and a good way of living as well as the right to pursue education. (2)Resolving disputes, actual and potential, via support and constructive dialogue, so as to maintain the family unity. (3)Reproduction of relationship and reestablishing cordial connections with blood relatives and open communications with other community members on the basis of mutual respect and good intention. Finally, the study recommends that Patriarchal authority be strengthened because it has a positive impact on solving family disputes, reviving relationships with the nearest relatives, and observing the rights of the family members.
