المستخلص: يتعرض لبنان باستمرار لأزمات متلاحقة تجعله يدور في حلقة مفرغة، حيث يسبب النظام الطائفي هذه الأزمات التي بدورها تعزز الولاءات الطائفية وتجعل الطائفية أشد ترسخا مع كل تسوية جديدة. كل هذا يتم على حساب وحدة الدولة وقوتها، وعلى حساب الولاء للوطن والشعور الوطني الواحد الجامع ويعيق دمج الفئات اللبنانية في أمة واحدة، يتساوى فيها الجميع تحت راية المواطنة. في هذا البحث نرمي إلى الإضاءة على الجذور التاريخية والأسباب الدستورية والقانونية التي أدت إلى هذا الخلل الكبير في تثبيت دعائم الوطن اللبناني، وفي إرساء المواطنة القويمة، هادفين إلى اقتراح حلول تعيد إنتاج صيغة سياسية اجتماعية تكون كفيلة ببناء أمة موحدة ودولة قوية وإبعاد الخلل الطائفي الذي يعتري النظام اللبناني. وبالتالي لا بد من دراسة مكامن الخلل في التكوين التاريخي للبنان، كذلك العلاقة الجدلية بين المواطنة والطائفية في الحياة الدستورية والسياسية في لبنان. وقد اعتمد المنهج التاريخي والاستقرائي التحليلي حيث نعود إلى التاريخ ونستقصي الوقائع التاريخية والسياسية إضافة إلى الدراسات الدستورية والقانونية ونحلل هذه المعلومات وصولا إلى هدفنا من وراء البحث. الإشكالية المطروحة هي: هل الطائفية السياسية هي السبب وراء زعزعة الانتماء الوطني في لبنان؟ أم هي الضمانة التي تحمي الفئات اللبنانية المختلفة من هيمنة واحدة منها على الأخرى، وبالتالي هي الضمانة لبقاء لبنان بتنوعه وتعايش أبنائه رغم اختلاف انتماءاتهم؟

The problem of nation-building and belonging in light of narrow loyalties: the sectarian system in Lebanon as a model. Lebanon is constantly exposed to successive crises that make it spin in a vicious circle, where the sectarian system causes these crises, which in turn strengthen sectarian loyalties and make sectarianism more entrenched with each new settlement. All this is done at the expense of the unity and strength of the state, at the expense of loyalty to the nation and the unifying national feeling, and hinders the integration of Lebanese groups into one nation, in which all are equal under the banner of citizenship. In this research, we aim to shed light on the historical roots and the constitutional and legal reasons that led to this major imbalance in stabilizing the foundations of the Lebanese nation, and in establishing a right citizenship, aiming to propose solutions that reproduce a socio-political formula that is capable of building a unified nation and a strong state and banishing the sectarian imbalance in the Lebanese system. Therefore, it is necessary to study the kinks in the historical composition of Lebanon, as well as the dialectical relationship between citizenship and sectarianism in constitutional and political life in Lebanon. The historical and inductive analytical approach has been adopted, where we return to history and investigate historical and political facts in addition to constitutional and legal studies and analyze this information to reach our goal behind the research. The problem at hand is: Is political sectarianism the reason behind the destabilization of national belonging in Lebanon? Or is it the guarantee that protects the different Lebanese groups from the domination of one over the other, and thus the guarantee for the survival of Lebanon with its diversity and the coexistence of its people despite their different affiliations?
