يهدف هذا البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على الدوافع التي أدت إلى حدوث الخيانة خلال فترة الحروب الصليبية بمختلف أنواعها سواء كانت دوافع سياسية أو اقتصادية أو اجتماعية أو شخصية فضلاً عن التعريف بمعنى كلمة الخيانة لغة واصطلاحاً. ويرجع أهمية هذا الموضوع في أنه بيلقي الضوء على دوافع الخيانة التي حدثت في فترة الحروب الصليبية لعلنا نتجنب آثارها الوخيمة لأنها لم تقتصر على فترة وجود الصليبيين بالشرق فقط، بل يوجد في عصرنا ما يشابه تلك الدوافع. وقد اعتمدت في دراستي المنهج التحليلي النقدي، حيث تناولت دوافع الخيانة عند كل من الصليبيين والمسلمين والمسيحين المحليين، ولم يقتصر الأمر على مجرد سرد للأحداث التاريخية؛ وإنما تحليلها ونقدها، والوقوف على الأسباب والنتائج التي كانت وراء مظاهر الخيانة؛ بغية الوصول إلى الحقيقة التاريخية أو أقرب شيءٍ إليها. وقد قسمت البحث إلى مقدمة وثلاثة مباحث وخاتمة تتوج أهم نتائج البحث.
This research aims to shed light on the motives that led to the occurrence of treason during the period of the Crusades of all kinds, whether political, economic, social or personal motives, as well as defining the meaning of the word treason linguistically and idiomatically. The importance of this topic is due to the fact that it sheds light on the motives of betrayal that occurred during the period of the Crusades, so that we avoid its dire effects, because it was not limited to the period of the Crusaders' presence in the East only, but there are similar motives in our time. In my studies, I adopted the critical analytical approach, where I dealt with the motives of treason among the Crusaders, Muslims, and local Christians, and the matter was not limited to a mere narration of historical events. ; Rather, analyzing and criticizing it, and finding out the reasons and results that were behind the manifestations of betrayal; In order to reach the historical truth or the closest thing to it. The research was divided into an introduction, three sections, and a conclusion that culminates in the most important results of the research.
