انقسم البحث إلي قسمين: قمت في القسم الأول منه برصد المصطلحات النحوية الموجودة في كتاب "همع الهوامع" للسيوطي (ت 911) لدراستها والتعليق عليها من حيث البناء والشيوع والتوحد والاستقرار. ولكثرة المصطلحات الواردة في أجزاء الكتاب الستة؛ آثرت اختيار بعض منها لتكون عينة ممثلة في هذه الدراسة؛ فكنت أذكر المصطلح، وأذكر مرادفاته إن وجدت وأتكلم على منهج السيوطي في تناوله المصطلح من حيث الشرح والتوضيح، وأتتبع المصطلح عند جملة من العلماء: كسيبويه (ت 180 ه)، والمبرد (ت 285 ه)، وابن السراج (ت 316 ه)، وابن جني (ت 393 ه)، وغيرهم من العلماء الذين تعهدوا العربية في مهدها، فكان لهم فضل رعايتها والعناية بها ليصل إلينا ما اتصل بها من علم ناضجا مستقرا. أما سائر مصطلحات الكتاب فقد جعلتها في ثبت مثبت في مكانه من هذا البحث، وأدرجت بإزاء كل مصطلح رقم الجزء الذي ورد فيه، ورقم الصفحة. أما القسم الثاني فقد أوجزت فيه الحديث عن المصلح عند السيوطي من منظور لساني معاصر، فقدمت لمحة عن الخصائص العامة للتفكير المصطلحي، ومدى حضور هذه الخصائص في التراث المصطلحي الذي قدمه لنا السيوطي. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: 1. لم يقدم لنا السيوطي على صعيد المصطلح النحوية شيئا جديدا، سوى إعادته ما تضمنته الكتب النحوية من مصطلحات، فكان له فضل الإسهام في جمعها وصونها. 2. جاءت المصطلحات في معظمها عنوانات لأبواب وفصول يعالج فيها موضوعات نحوية وصرفيه. 3. لم يقدم لنا وصفا أو نهجا واضحا لصياغة المصطلح واستقراره، ولم نلحظ عنده وقفة عبد الآلية أو النهج الذي يعتمده في اختيار مصطلحاته، بل إن جهده انصب كما ألمحنا على جمع ما ورد عند القدماء من مصطلحات، وتصنيفها وتنظيمها. 4. ثمة رؤى لبذار لسانية معاصرة مبثوثة في خبايا التراث المصطلحى الذي قدمه لنا السيوطى، فقراءة هذا التراث تعد تأسيسا للمستقبل وبعثا للجديد من خلال إحياء الماضي.
The research was divided into two parts: In the first part focused on idioms and syntax mentioned in AL-Syouti book Hama, AL Hawame", in order to study and comment on it from the dimension the structure, unity, spread and stability. Because there are many terms mentioned in the six part - book, I have choose a sample to be represented in the study, as I mentioned the term and its synonym and I talked about Al-Syouti's method in dealing with the term from the point of explanation and clarification, then I followed the term with many other scholars as (Sebawaih), Al-Mebred, Ibn Seraj, Ibn Jinni and other scholars who had assumed the language from its beginning, they have a merit in sponsoring it. The other terms of the book I have fixed it as it is in this research and I numbered its part and mentioned the page number. In the second part I summarized the talking about the terminology and syntax in Al-Soyouti model from the modem talking dimension, I have provided the general properties for the syntax thinking and the extent of this properties in the syntax heritage which had been provided to us by Al-Syouti and I have reached the following conclusions 1. Al-Syouti had provided nothing new in regard to syntax terminology. He had just repeated what the syntax books had mentioned, his contribution is to collect and maintain it. 2. Most of the syntax mentioned as titles for chapters and discussed a syntax matters. 3. Al-Syouti had not provided us a description or a clear way to form the terminology and we have not noticed a mechanism that had been adopted to choose his terms, his efforts has been concentrated on collection of what have been mentioned earlier by others and he had just classified and arranged it. 4. There are some modem visions hidden in the terminology heritage which was provided to us by Al-Syouti which can be considered a foundation for the future and through revival.
