|a تهدف الدراسة إلى قياس وتحليل حجم الجهود التنموية التي بذلت في الاقتصاد خلال الفترة 1950-2020 والنتائج المترتبة عليها من خلال الاستعانة بمؤشرات عديدة: حجم الاتفاق الاستثماري، معدل النمو الاقتصادي، والتوزيع القطاعي للاستثمار وللأيدي العاملة وللناتج المحلي الإجمالي. وكشفت الدراسة بأن مشكلات العراق الاقتصادية هي بالدرجة الأساس مشكلات هيكلية لصيقة ببنيانه الاقتصادي اسهمت في ولادتها وتفاقمها متغيرات داخلية وخارجية كالحروب والحصار الاقتصادي والاحتلال الأمريكي للبلاد عام 2003 والتي غدت جميعها عقبة كأداء بوجه تطوره الاقتصادي. وأخيراً، أكدت الدراسة بأن الافلات من مأزق التنمية المفقودة في العراق يستدعي اعتماد إجراءات وسياسات حكومية قصيرة وطويلة الأجل في نطاق نمط التنمية المعتمدة على الذات.
|b This study seeks to fathom and analyze the extent of developmental efforts exerted in the Iraqi economy over the period (1950-2020) and their outcomes. It relies on multiple parameters such as: the amount of investment expenditure, the average of economic growth and the sectoral distribution of investment, workforce, and gross domestic product (GDP). The study demonstrates that the economic problems of Iraq are mainly structural as they are associated with the structure of the Iraqi economy. These problems arose from and got escalated by internal and external factors like wars, economic siege and the American occupation of the country in 2003. All of these factors form an obstacle that hinders the economic development of Iraq. Finally, the study emphasizes that the way to break the deadlock of the lost development entails adopting short-term and long-term governmental procedures and policies within the scale of the self-reliant type of development.
