يسعى البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على الآثار الاجتماعية لتعدد الزوجات دراسة ميدانية في بغداد. ومن أجل تحقيق أهداف البحث الحالي فقد اعتمد الباحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال عينة من الأفراد في محافظة بغداد بلغت (۲۰۰) وفقا لمجموعة من المتغيرات الديمغرافية، وقد تم بناء استبانة لقياس طبيعة الآثار الاجتماعية سواء أكانت مميزات أو مساوئ الموضوع تعدد الزوجات وقد حرص الباحث على التحقق من الخصائص السايكومترية للاستبانة من صدق وثبات قبل تطبيقها على عينة البحث وبعد تطبيق الاستبانة على عينة البحث توصلت الدراسة إلى ما يلي: ۱. هنالك اتجاه عام تغلب عليه الصفة السلبية تجاه موضوع تعدد الزوجات من وجهة نظر عينة المبحثين في الدراسة الحالية. 2. تعد عينة البحث الحالي من (الإناث) الأكثر رفضا لموضوع تعدد الزوجات من (الذكور). 3. بينت النتائج أن النساء الأكثر تعليما كان اتجاهها نحو تعدد الزوجات أكثر سلبية من النساء الأقل تعلما. 4. ترى عينة البحث الحالي من (الذكور) مميزات كثيرة لتعدد الزوجات أكثر من النساء اللاواتي يرون فيه مساوئ أكثر من مميزاته 5. بينت نتائج الدراسة أن لتعدد الزوجات مساوئ اجتماعية كثيرة منها الطلاق وضعف العلاقات الأسرية داخل الأسرة الواحدة فضلا عن مشكلات اقتصادية ونفسية متعددة.
The current research seeks to identify the social effects of polygamy, a field study in Baghdad. In order to achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher relied on the analytical descriptive approach through a sample of individuals in Baghdad governorate amounted to (200) according to a set of demographic variables, and a questionnaire was built to measure The nature of the social effects, whether they are advantages or disadvantages of the subject of polygamy, and the researcher was keen to verify the psychometric characteristics of the questionnaire of validity and reliability before applying it to the research sample, and after applying the questionnaire to the research sample, the study concluded the following: 1. There is a general trend dominated by the negative character towards the issue of polygamy from the point of view of the sample of researchers in the current study. 2. The current research sample of (females) is the most rejecting of the subject of polygamy than (males). 3. The results showed that the more educated women had a more negative attitude towards polygamy than the less educated women. 4. The current research sample (males) see many advantages of polygamy more than women, who see more disadvantages than its advantages. 5. The results of the study showed that polygamy has many social disadvantages, including divorce and poor family relations within the same family, in addition to multiple economic and psychological problems.
