المستخلص: This study compares the anaerobic capacity of teams and individual players using indirect measurements. The team player participants were twenty-eight players from football or basketball teams attending Erbil government clubs; their ages ranged from 18 to 24 years, and all have been playing regularly for more than three years, and have played in tournaments at club level. The remaining participants were thirty-one players of individual sports, such as tennis, fencing, long-distance running and Taekwondo. They were also aged 18 to 24 years, and regularly participate in tournaments. All subjects were asked to perform the tests over a period of two days. The first day they performed a 40-yard dash, a 50-yard dash, a 60-yard dash, the Margaria Power Test, and the Margaria Kalamen Power Test. On the second day the subjects performed the Vertical Jump Test and Anaerobic Step Test. The results revealed there were a significant difference in anaerobic capacity between the players from teams and those who play individual sports in 40-yard dash test were (517.0589, ±68.92156), (487.4468, ±56.47551), 50 yard dash were (500.6446, ±44.19968),(494.9452, ±36.60806) 60-yard dash (514.7725, ±38.40762), (511.2784, ±39.33752) Margaria Power Test (1247.7914, ±207.09039), (1186.6716, ±121.43757), Margaria Kalamen Power Test, (1200.2546, ±153.58305), (948.7606, ±195.60503), Vertical Jump Test, (125.8168, ±20.23213), (128.3313, ±19.88915) Anaerobic Step Test, (25.7804, ±5.57279), (29.4213, ±4.40874) for both team members and players respectively. The main result shows that there were no significant difference between team and individual players in both Margaria Kalamen Power Test and Anaerobic Step Test with p value 0.000 and 0.007 respectively.
