المستخلص: يمثل هذا الموضوع نظرة علم الآثار إلى العمران بصفة عامة والعمران الإسلامي بصفة خاصة من منطلق محاولة فهم أسباب اندثار المدن لنصل إلى معرفة بعض عوامل نشأتها وتطورها. لهذا الغرض انصب اهتمامنا على بعض مدن المغرب الأوسط التي كانت عواصم دول متعاقبة إذ حاولنا تتبع مسارها التاريخي والوقوف على آثارها من أجل فهم الوضع الذي آلت إليه. ولتدعيم هذا التوجه ارتبط بحثنا المتواضع بما وصل إليه الآخرون من خلال طرحهم لنظريات ومفاهيم قد تفيد القارئ في فهم النظرة الأثرية للعمران.

Cet article a pour titre: « Conditions de création des villes musulmanes dans le Maghreb central ». Il s’agit en fait d’une lecture historico-archéologique sur l’urbanisme du Maghreb central ayant mené à la réflexion sur les conditions de création (voire établissement) des villes islamiques d’une manière général et celles du Maghreb centrale en particulier. Il est question aussi de destruction et d’abandon de ces villes devenues pour des raisons diverses, des sites historiques en ruines. Ont été présentés dans cet article des concepts et hypothèses formulés par nos prédécesseurs et surtout les principes urbanistiques d’Ibn el Rabi’. Notons enfin que cet article met en avant les spécificités de certaines villes du Maghreb central.

This topic represents archaeology's perspective on urbanism in general and Islamic urbanism in particular. It aims to understand the reasons for the disappearance of cities, ultimately seeking knowledge about the factors contributing to their emergence and development. To achieve this objective, our attention has been directed towards certain cities in the Central Maghreb that served as the capitals of successive states. We endeavor to trace their historical paths and identify their impacts to comprehend their current situations. To reinforce this approach, our modest research is intertwined with the findings of others who have proposed theories and concepts. These contributions may benefit the reader in understanding the archaeological viewpoint on urbanism. This abstract was translated by AlMandumah Inc.
