المستخلص: تحاول هذه الدراسة الموسومة بعنوان فعالية دور مجلس السلم والأمن الإفريقي في إدارة وتسوية النزاعات في إفريقيا" أن تحلل مدى فاعلية مجلس السلم والأمن الإفريقي في إدارة وتسوية النزاعات في القارة الإفريقية، وذلك من خلال التطرق لنشأة هذا المجلس وتكوينه وهيكلته ثم تعاطي مجلس السلم والأمن الإفريقي مع بعض النزاعات في إفريقيا، أيضا تطرقت الدراسة الجملة من التحديات التي تعرقل هذا الجهاز ونحد من نجاحه في أداء مهامه على الوجه المطلوب، بناء على تشريح تلك التحديات قدمت الدراسة بعض التوصيات أو الحلول العملية من أجل تفعيل دور مجلس السلم والأمن الإفريقي.

Cette étude à pour but d’analyser l’efficacité du rôle du conseil de la paix et de la sécurité de l’union Africain dans le domaine de prévention, de gestion et de règlement des conflit en Afrique. D’abord ; l’étude donne une présentation générale du conseil Africain de la paix et de la sécurité, ça était fait en trois points: la création du conseil , sa composition et ses principaux organes. Ensuite ; la recherche sert à examiner des cas ou le conseil Africain de la paix et de la sécurité mena des missions de maintien de la paix et la sécurité ainsi que les entraves pour ces missions. Enfin ; l’étude propose des recommandations afin d’améliorer le rôle du conseil Africain de la paix et de la sécurité en Afrique.

This study, titled 'The Effectiveness of the Role of the African Peace and Security Council in Managing and Settling Conflicts in Africa,' aims to analyze the effectiveness of the African Peace and Security Council in handling and resolving conflicts in the continent. The study first examines the emergence, composition, and structure of this Council, followed by an exploration of its role in addressing specific conflicts in Africa. Additionally, the study delves into several challenges that impede the efficacy of this entity and constrain its success in fulfilling its tasks as required. Drawing from the analysis of these challenges, the study provides recommendations and practical solutions to enhance the functionality of the African Peace and Security Council.
