المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث الأقوال التي قيلت في أبي صالح عبد الله بن صالح المصري، جرحا وتعديلا، وقد تم جمع تلك الأقوال وحصرها، ومن ثم تحليلها، وبذلت وسعي، وأفرغت جهدي في التوفيق بينها للخروج بقول دقيق فيه، فقد كان أبا صالح ممن يكثر ملازمة الأئمة، لا سيما وأنه كاتب الليث بن سعد، وقد تنوعت الألفاظ فيه جرحا وتعديلا، بل اشتد الخلاف في الحكم عليه، وهذا مما يدعو الباحث لمزيد من التحري عن حاله، وما قيل فيه، لذا حصرت وجمعت أقوال الأئمة سواء المتشددين، أو المعتدلين، أو المتساهلين، أو الآخرين، أو المتأخرين، ثم بعد ذلك تم تحليل الأقوال وفق ما يظهر للباحث، مراعيا قدر الإمكان فهم وتصور أقوال الأئمة في أبي صالح وقد جعلت عنوان بحثي "ترجمة أبي صالح عبد الله بن صالح المصري كاتب الليث بن سعد دراسة تحليلية»، وقد قسمته إلى مقدمة، وثلاثة مباحث وخاتمة، وذكرت في المقدمة أهمية البحث، وسبب اختياره، ومشكلة البحث، وحدود البحث، وأهداف البحث، الدراسات السابقة، إجراءات البحث، ومنهج البحث وطبيعة العمل فيه، وخطة البحث، والخاتمة تناولت فيها أهم النتائج، وأبرز التوصيات، ومن أهم النتائج أنه كان عالما كثير العلم فاضلا صالحا كريما، حاله في الرواية: صدوق يخطئ كثيرا، وفيه غفلة.

This paper deals with the sayings that were said about Abu Salih Abdullah bin Salih al-Masri, in terms of al-Jarh wa al-Ta dīl (criticism and praise). These sayings were collected, enumerated, and then analyzed. I did my best and my overall effort in reconciling those sayings to come up with an accurate statement. Abu Şāleh was one who used to accompany the imams, especially since he is the writer of Al-Layth bin Sa'd, and the words varied towards him in terms of criticism and praise. Rather, the dispute has intensified in the ruling on him, and this is what calls the researcher to further investigate his case and what was said about him. Therefore, I have enumerated and collected the sayings of the imams, whether the hard-liners, the moderates, the lenient ones, the others, or the later ones. The sayings were analyzed according to what appears to the researcher, taking into consideration, as much as possible, the understanding and perception of the sayings of the imams on Abu Şaleh, I made the title of my research as "Biography of Abu Şāleh 'Abdullah bin Şāleh Al-Masri, the writer of Al-Layth bin Sa'd; an analytical study". I divided it into an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction included the importance of the research, the reason for choosing the title, the research problems, the limitations of the research, research objectives, previous studies, research procedures, research methodology and the nature of work in it, and the research plan. The conclusion dealt with the most important findings, and the most important recommendations. Among the most important findings is that he was a scholar of great knowledge, virtuous, righteous, and generous, his condition in narration is graded as: Sadūq (trustworthy) who makes many mistakes and is negligent.
