استهدفت الدراسة الوقوف علي مسببات الطائفية وآثارها، كما بحثت في آليات الحل والعلاج للمشكلات الاجتماعية والسياسية والأمنية المترتبة علي انتشار الطائفية في مجتمعنا العربي. وقد حاولت الدراسة الجمع بين مستويين من التحليل: الكلي والجزئي. ولذا جاءت محاور الدراسة منسجمة مع الهدف الرئيسي للدراسة، حيث أفردت الدراسة محوراً للبحث يدور حول المغزى السوسيولوجي والدلالة السياسية للطائفية، ومحوراً آخر لتسليط الضوء علي واقع المشهد الطائفي في بعض البلدان العربية. كما خصصت الدراسة محورين كاملين لمناقشة التراث النظري والأمبيريقي حول موضوع الدراسة. كما حاولت الدراسة تشخيص عوامل ومسببات الطائفية والبحث في الآثار الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والنفسية المترتبة عليها، ثم طرح الآليات وسبل العلاج. وقد أكدت الدراسة من خلال هذه المحاور أن الطائفية صناعة محلية وعولمية في ذات الوقت، وتحتاج لمواجهتها مزيداً من البحث لخلق مجتمع إيجابي قادر علي تعبئة الطاقات البشرية لخدمة الأهداف الاجتماعية، وتحقيق الانسجام الفكري والتعايش الديني والأيديولوجي.
The study aimed to identify the causes and its effects, and discussed for the social, political and security problems, which follow the spread of sectarianism in our Arab society. The study tried to combine between two levels of analysis which are macro and micro analysis. The axes of the study became in harmonious with the main objective of the study, which one of these axes, illustrates the sociological and political significance of sectarianism, and the other one is to highlight the reality of the scene of sectarian in some Arab countries. This study, also, devoted two complete axes to discuss the theoretical and empirical heritage of the study. It, also, tried to analyze the factors and causes of sectarianism, and research in the social, economic, and psychological influences, and then put the mechanisms and means of treatment. The study assured, through these axes, that the sectarianisms is local and global industry in the same time, which needs from us more researches to create appositive society, able to realize the intellectual harmonious, in addition to religious and ideological coexistence. \
