المستخلص: E-health care or Electronic healthcare systems gained high attention in this highly technological and internet world in order to provide high quality healthcare service to the patients. Besides facing high attention, E-health care systems are also facing security issues due to the access of unauthorised users into the system. This research aimed at minimising these security issues faced by e-health care systems by developing a multi-factor authentication method. This multi-factor authentication method uses three aspects to authenticate a user namely password, dynamically generated NFC code and face recognition. This authentication system is implemented with the use of NFC smart card device to dynamically generate NFC code and AES 256 encryption method to encrypt password and random number displayed on screen. Java, Oracle forms and Oracle 10G (database) are used for the implementation purpose, which is later tested and evaluated in this research.
