المستخلص: This study, entitled “Reasons for livelihood from the Qur’an and Sunnah,” contained an assertion that God, glory be to Him, is the sustenance of all His creation, and that He, Glory be to His creation, has demonstrated the causes of sustenance and promised those who adhere to them more of His bounty and breadth of His livelihood. Some of these reasons were mentioned in thirteen requirements arranged as follows : Asceticism in this world and making worry and desire for what God has, the piety of God, prayer, spending in the path of God, righteousness of parents and the link of ties of kinship, repentance and forgiveness, thanking God, glory be to Him, trust in God, supplication of God, glory be to Him, continuing to remember God, marriage and children, jihad For God’s sake, blessings on the Prophet, With inference for each of these reasons from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and he mentioned some of what was mentioned by our righteous predecessors of encouraging them to preserve these works, then I concluded with the results of this study.
