The study aims to measure and analyze the performance of public commercial banks in Egypt & study compared the performance of public sector banks compared to some private banks. Acquires the public banks in Egypt most of the banking activity for the study will focus on the analysis of indicators, banks of public play an important role in development through the attraction and mobilization of domestic savings and finance giant national projects and contribute to infrastructure projects, and the public banks also play an active role in stimulating markets capital with the support of the privatization program and the promotion of securities and valuation of assets and service depression-General and the establishment of investment funds. The study found that public sector banks have an acquisition of the largest share of the banking activity according to the position on 30/6/2009, which achieved 33.42% of the total center complex for the banks, 67.47% of total deposits, 30.30% of total loans , 08.54% of the total investments of financial and treasury bills.
