المستخلص: يستعرض الباحث بالشرح والتحليل أسس ومقومات الاستدامة السياحية في المناطق الجبلية، حيث تعد المناطق الجبلية أرضا خصبة وبكر للاستثمار لما تحويه من طبيعة نقية ومناظر خلابة وثروات وموارد ومجالا لممارسة عدة أنواع متميزة من الرياضة كالتسلق وغيرها، مما يجعل أنظار المستثمرين تتجه إلى هذا النوع من الاستثمار، لأنه يحمل في طياته فرصا للربح وهو الذي يستهدفه المستثمر في المقام الأول، ويتعرض الباحث لأسس ومقومات وعوامل جذب الاستثمار في المناطق الجبلية.

The researcher reviews, with an explanation and analysis, the foundations and components of tourism sustainability in mountainous regions, as the mountainous regions are considered fertile and pristine grounds for investment due to their pure nature, stunning scenery, wealth, resources, and a field for practicing several distinct types of sport such as climbing and other things, which makes the investors' eyes turn to this type of investment, Because it carries with it opportunities for profit and it is the one targeted by the investor in the first place, and the researcher is exposed to the foundations, components and factors attracting investment in mountainous regions through the following chapters: Chapter 1: Basic Concepts The research reviews the various literature that dealt with the concepts of tourism, mountain tourism, sustainable tourism, and also the concept of investment. Chapter Two: Tourism Sustainability and Mountain Regions: Principles and Constituents The researcher deals with explanations and analysis of the importance and role of tourism planning to reach sustainable tourism. The researcher also presents the foundations and components of tourism investment in mountainous areas. Chapter Three: The Egyptian Case Study In this chapter, the researcher presents and analyzes an Egyptian case that is a clear model for mountain tourism, namely the Eastern Desert Mountains and the Sinai Peninsula and its unique mountains, as well as Saint Catherine Reserve in South Sinai Governorate, which is an effective model for mountain tourism. Chapter Four: Results and Recommendations In this chapter, the researcher presents the results obtained from the previous analysis, and also provides several recommendations for attracting Arab and foreign investments in mountainous regions, and achieving sustainable tourism in mountainous areas.
