520 |b This study aimed to analyze the contribution of blockchain technology in efficiently and effectively utilizing resources to increase the value of investments in the healthcare sector, using Estonia as a case study. This was based on a review and analysis of literature and reports that investigated the value of adopting this technology in the healthcare system. The review revealed that Estonia's adoption of blockchain technology in healthcare can result in annual savings of 2% of the gross domestic product. It contributes to improving communication between healthcare information systems and maintains system security at a reasonable cost. The study also highlighted that it enhances the safety and trust of citizens in the public healthcare sector.
