|b Background: Women in Saudi Arabia face substantial barriers to participation and leadership in various sectors, including the stock market. Traditionally, the Saudi society has been characterized by cultural norms and institutional practices that restrict women's access to economic opportunities and decision-making roles. However, there is a growing recognition that empowering women and promoting gender inclusiveness can lead to significant benefits for market performance and overall economic growth. Purpose: This study examines women's participation in Saudi Arabia's stock market and its relationship to market performance to understand obstacles and potential impacts of women's empowerment. Research Design and Methodology: A survey of 195 Saudi women investors was conducted to assess their participation, investment behavior, perceptions of market performance and risk. Regression analysis examined the effect of women's participation on the TASI. Findings: Women's participation in trading and investment were moderate but positively related to market performance. Their behavior did not differ demographically but was influenced more by sociocultural factors like gender roles and lack of knowledge. Empowering women can benefit both women themselves and the broader market. Practical Implications: Companies promoting inclusion through equitable policy, mentorship and visibility of female role models enable women's participation. Efforts to empower women have potential to transform the market's functioning and outcomes.
