|a يتناول هذا البحث موضوع تحول النظام الساسي لاتحاد جنوب إفريقيا إلى جمهورية على وفق دستور خاص بها، بانسحابها من رابطة دول الكومنولث، بعد أن فشلت مساعي الحكومة في البقاء داخل الرابطة، نظرا لسياسة التمييز العنصري المتبعة في جنوب إفريقيا والتي تمثل إحراجا كبيرا للدول الأعضاء وتحالف المثل العليا والمبادئ التي تقوم عليها الرابطة، إبان تحولها لجمهورية، نظرا لسياستها العنصرية التي لا تتفق مع المثل ومبادئ الرابطة مما جعل جنوب أفريقيا تنسحب من الرابطة وتعلن تأسيس الجمهورية عام 1961، بعد استفتاء جاءت نتائجه لصالح تأسيس الجمهورية. أبرز البحث وجهات نظر الأحزاب الرئيسة في جنوب إفريقيا: الحزب الحاكم الوطني والحزب المتحد المعارض لخطوة التحول وحزب التقدم الذي دخل التنافس في الانتخابات البرلمانية على وفق دستور عام1961، والأسباب الكامنة خلف موقفيهما. ومضي الحزب الوطني في الهيمنة على السلطة والتفوق البيض، على الرغم بعض المحاذير التي تعوق ذلك التفوق والهيمنة سوء كانت داخليا أو ضغوطا خارجية.
|b This research deals with the issue of the transformation of the political system of the Union of South Africa into a republic according to its own constitution, with its withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Nations, after the government's efforts to remain within the association failed, due to the policy of racial discrimination followed in South Africa, which represents a great embarrassment to the member states and the alliance of ideals. The higher principles and principles on which the League is based, during its transformation into a republic, due to its racist policy that is inconsistent with the ideals and principles of the League, which made South Africa withdraw from the League and declare the establishment of the Republic in 1961, after a referendum whose results were in favor of the establishment of the Republic. The research highlighted the viewpoints of the main parties in South Africa: the National Ruling Party, the United Party that opposes the transformation step, and the Progress Party, which entered the parliamentary elections according to the 1961 constitution, and the reasons behind their positions. The National Party continued to dominate power and white supremacy, despite some caveats that impeded that supremacy and domination, whether they were internal or external pressures.
