|a تعد الجغرافية السياسية من العلوم التي تهتم بالتفاعل المكاني بين الظواهر الجغرافية والسياسة، وكذلك للتعرف على التأثير الجيوبوليتيكي لموقع دول الجوار على وضع العراق، الأمر الذي أدى إلى زيادة احتمالات التدخلات الإقليمية من قبل القوى المجاورة في الشؤون الداخلية العراقية، لعل من أهم النتائج السلبية التي أفرزها هذا الموقع على العراق اختلال توازن القوي بين العراق ودول الجوار في المنطقة، وبالتالي فإن هذا الاختلال يزيد من أطماع القوى الإقليمية المجاورة ويحفزها على التوسع وتحقيق طموحها ومصالحها وتدخلاتها في العراق كذلك يتطلب في هذه المرحلة تطبيق الديمقراطية التوافقية، التي تبنى المشاركة الجماعية في السلطة بين مكونات الشعب العراقي، هي الطريق الوحيد للاستقرار السياسي القائم على التداول السلمي للسلطة في العراق، فضلا عن ذلك تنشئة الإنسان في العراق على: الإعتزاز بهويه، وعلى الوفاء لوطنه أرضا وتاريخا والحرص على مصالح مشتركة ونشر ثقافة التآخي، والتسامح، والانفتاح على الآخر بما يتطابق مع مبادئ حقوق الإنسان.
