المستخلص: Much has been said in recent years about Hollywood and the systematic vilification of Arabs especially after 9/11 events. Yet, few studies could consider the deep-seated prejudice that Hollywood screen inflicted on Palestinians as Zionism as a cultural revivalist movement began to have great pressure worldwide. Hollywood treatment of the Jewish question did not only evince through mere focus on Israel’s present- day issues and concerns, but also revealed through portraying Palestinian revolutionists as terrorists and their objectives under the label “Palestinian terrorism”. Hollywood’s movie “7 Days in Entebbe” draws on a malign experience of many passengers mostly Jews who are held captives by “Palestinian terrorists” in attempt to free forty Palestinians imprisoned in Israel. Hany Abu-Assad “Paradise Now”, on the other hand, depicts the lives of many Palestinians who because of Israeli presence find their life torn between harsh living conditions and the uncertainty of the future. This article tries to expose cinematic representation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as to reveal Hollywood’s narrative of the conflict and the counter narrative exposed by Palestinian cinema.
