|b This article examines censorship dynamics in Mohamed Sghaier Ouled Ahmed’s work, using Freudian sublimation and Stephen Greenblatt’s cultural poetics. It analyzes selected poems in the context of “the culture of protest and resistance before and during the January 14 revolution” (Omri 152), offering insights into the interplay between censorship and artistic expression. I emphasise how censorship politics paradoxically catalysed Ouled Ahmed’s contribution to a burgeoning culture of cyber activism on the eve of the Tunisian Revolution. This article further seeks to elucidate the poet’s aspiration to forge lasting recognition in the midst of a budding culture of resistance, thus endeavouring to secure a durable poetic legacy.
