|b It is obvious that the ethical controls for media practices have become a pressing and foundational requirement for numerous organizations and governments, as well as for societies at large. This is due to the role that media plays at the international, regional, and local levels, especially during times of conflicts and tensions between peoples and nations. It is worth noting that the impact of media, with both its positive and negative aspects, is significant. Often, its negative effects outweigh the positives. This has prompted many professional organizations and associations to attempt to establish an ethical framework for the media and communication profession, aiming to mitigate the potential harms of media practice on audiences.
