المستخلص: Recent linguistic attention in prosodic and paralinguistic characteristics of language is appeared in the suggestions of the structural linguists and the vocal variations referred to language. The vocal variations are analysed as prelinguistic variations. The American structuralists think that the prosodic features are the variations of the segmental phonemes and they use an identical method to the prosodic features similar to segmental phonemes and identifying the same features in complementary distribution and specify the conclusion is the suprasegmental sounds. In linguistic, prosodic features elucidate the suprasegmental features of language, Crystal has researched and analysed the prosodic features in details and comprehensively. Crystal‟s analysis on prosodic features reveals how the prosodic features signalize the verbal messages and understanding the speech and also how these features participate the multiplicity and intricacy of the utterance.
