|a في فلسفة اليونان القديمة اعتبر الفلاسفة الوجود أساسا لكل الوجود وكانوا يؤمنون بوحدة الكون وترابط جميع أجزائه. وقدموا نظريات فلسفية لنشأة الكون اعتبرت أساسا للتفكير اللاحق في هذا المجال وقد تطورت صورة الكون عند فلاسفة اليونان عبر العصور ومن أشهر هؤلاء الفلاسفة طاليس الذي كان يعتقد أن الأرض هي المركز الذي يدور حوله الكون وانكسيمندر كان يرى أن الكون نشأ من اللانهائي. أما انكسيمانس اعتبر أن الكون نشأ من اللانهائي والمحدود. أما فيثاغورس كان يعتقد أن الكون نشأ من الأعداد الرياضية بتركيبات إعدادية متناسقة وباختصار كانت صورة الكون عند فلاسفة اليونان مرتبطة بفكرة الوحدة والترابط وأن الكون هو الأساس لكل الوجود.
|b In the philosophy of ancient Greece, philosophers considered universe as the base for all existence; they believed in the unity of the universe and the interdependence of all its parts. They submitted philosophical theories of the universe rise that were considered to the base for the following thought in this field. The universe image had developed for the Greek philosophers through ages. Among the most famous of these philosophers were Thales, who believed that the earth was the center around which the universe revolved, and Anaximander who believed that the universe arose from the infinite. We also have Anaximans, who considered that the universe arose from the infinite and the limited, and Pythagoras, who believed that the universe arose from the mathematical numbers with consistent numerical combinations. In short, the image of the universe, for the Greek philosophers, was linked with the idea of unity and interdependence, and that the universe is the basis for all existence.
