|a تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على إسهامات أحمد بن ماجد في العلوم الجغرافية، كما تهدف أيضا إلى معرفة مكانة الجغرافيا عند أحمد بن ماجد وما مدى استفادة الملاحة البحرية من المعلومات التي قدمها أحمد بن ماجد عن المسالك الجغرافية في المحيط الهندي، كما تهدف الدراسة أيضا إلى استعراض فروع الجغرافيا التي ركز عليها أحمد بن ماجد في رحلاته البحرية. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة؛ فقد اعتمدت المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، من خلال الاعتماد على المصادر والمراجع المكتوبة التي تناولت الحديث عن شخصية أحمد بن ماجد، كما اعتمدت منهج التحليل والتفسير للعلوم الجغرافية عند أحمد بن ماجد. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، منها: اهتمام أحمد بن ماجد بالعلوم الجغرافية، وعن الاستدامة المعرفية التي تركها أحمد بن ماجد للملاحة البحرية اليوم، كما أظهرت الدراسة أيضا فروع الجغرافيا الطبيعية والبشرية التي ركز عليها أحمد بن ماجد في رحلاته البحرية.
|b This study aims to identify the contributions of Ahmed bin Majid in the geographical sciences. It also aims to know the status of geography for Ahmed bin Majid and the extent to which maritime navigation benefited from the information provided by Ahmed bin Majid about the geographical tracts in the Indian Ocean. The study also aims to review the domains of geography that Ahmed bin Majid focused on in his voyages. To achieve the objectives of the study; it adopted the descriptive analytical approach, by relying on written sources and references about the personality of Ahmed bin Majid, as well as the analysis approach and interpretation of the geographical sciences of Ahmed bin Majid. The results of the study are Ahmed bin Majid’s interest in geographical sciences, and the knowledge sustainability that Ahmed bin Majid left for marine navigation. The study also showed the domains of natural and human geography that Ahmed bin Majid focused on in his voyages.
