|a يتطرق موضوع البحث إلى أكثر المراحل أهمية، وهي مرحلة ما بين الحربين وعلاقتها الدولية، لاسيما بعد ظهور أنظمة جديدة في العديد من بلدان أوربا بشكل خاص وبقية بلاد العالم، فقد كان لظهور النظام الشيوعي في روسيا وقيام النظام الجمهوري فيها وإنهاء حكم القيصر، أثر بالغ في العلاقات الخارجية مع الدول الأوروبية ولاسيما بريطانيا، التي وقفت بالضد من النظام الشيوعي في روسيا وتوجهاته الخارجية على مراحل مختلفة وبشتى الوسائل سواء في التدخل السياسي أو العسكري في داخل روسيا أو عن طريق عقد أحلاف لتطويق ذلك النظام، فضلا عن موقفها السلبي من ثورة البلاشفة عام ۱۹۱۷م التي كانت أولى تلك المواقف الرافضة لذلك النظام الفاشي في روسيا من قبل بريطانيا. تم تقسيم البحث إلى عنوانين رئيسيين هما: قيام الثورة البلشفية والموقف البريطاني من الثورة ومن إعلان اتحاد السوفييتي.

The research was divided into two main headings: the rise of the Bolshevik Revolution and the British position on the revolution and on the declaration of the Soviet Union.
