|a يحاول هذا البحث أن يعرض لكتاب الشاء للأصمعي الذي يعد أحد الرسائل اللغوية التي ألفت في القرن الرابع هجري، والتي هي بمثابة اللبنة الأولى للتأليف المعجمي، محاولا توضيح أهم موضوعاته، والألفاظ التي حوتها تلك الموضوعات، وإبراز أهم الخصائص التي تميز بها، والقيمة العلمية التي تضمنها، وكيفية تنظيم أبوابه، والتعريج على تراث الشاء في العربية وأهم من ألف في هذا الموضوع.
