|a إن هدف "هارتموت روزا" من مشروعه هو نقد المجتمعات الحداثية المتأخرة، والتأسيس لعلاقة أصيلة مع العالم بعد أن هلكت هذه العلاقة وتآكلت نتيجة "للتسارع"، فما يميز المجتمعات الحديثة هو تسارع إيقاع الحياة الذي يرجع إلى تزايد هائل في معدل التسارع التقني في الوقت الذي يتقلص فيه الزمن، إذ تعيش أغلبية الذوات في الحداثة المتأخرة تجربة الافتقار إلى الزمان وما يترتب عليه من قلق، وهذه المظاهر يعدها "هارتموت روزا" أشكالا سلبية من التسارع، لذلك أسس لسوسيولوجيا معيارية غرضها الكشف عن أشكال الاغتراب والأمراض المتمخضة عن تحولات الزمن داخل هذه المجتمعات. بيد أن علاج ما يخلفه التسارع من أمراض واغتراب ليس التباطؤ بل ينبغي التفكير فيما وراء مفهوم الزمن بحثا عن إرساء علاقة أصيلة بالعالم، لذلك اقترح مفهوما جديدا هو «الصدى». فالصدى بما هو عكس العملية التسارع وعلاج لها لا يعبر عن علاقة الذات بالزمن بل علاقتها بالعالم.
|b Hartmut Rosa's goal in his project is to criticize late modern societies and establish an authentic relationship with the world after this relationship perished and eroded because of «acceleration». What distinguishes modern societies is the acceleration of the pace of life due to a tremendous increase in the rate of technical acceleration in time. Time shrinks, as most subjects in late modernity live the experience of lack of time and the anxiety that results from it. These manifestations are considered by «Hartmut Rosa» as negative forms of acceleration, so he established a normative sociology whose purpose is to reveal the forms of alienation and diseases resulting from the transformations of time within these societies. However, the cure for the diseases and alienation left by acceleration is not slowing down but thinking beyond the concept of time to establish an authentic relationship with the world, so he proposed a new concept, «echo». The echo, as it is the opposite of the process of acceleration and a remedy for it, does not express the self's relationship with time but rather its relationship with the world.
