The end of the Cold War resulted in new challenges to the U.S. national security that influenced the formulation of the military strategies of the U.S. governments which were contemporary with this event or after. The American military strategy during the era of President Bill Clinton witnessed noteworthy changes in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the vital interests. The administration of President Bill Clinton went seriously on binding the U.S. national security considerations with the position of the United States in the global economy as well as concentrating on a new approach in the use of American military power by using attacks of long-range missiles and aircrafts equipped with precision-guided weapons against opponents to affirm the determination of the United States. |
