المستخلص: After a deep understanding of the Islamic jurisprudence, it becomes clear that Islam has never been an extremist, as claimed by its opponents. Islam has been the greatest player in building tolerance among all the members of civil societies with all its components and to develop and spread freedom and civilization of humankind, and ignited the flame of science, light, knowledge, forgiveness and tolerance among them. Therefore, the aim of the research is to show all Muslims have to have a deep understanding of Islamic tolerance jurisprudence in a civil society. Thus the Islamic tolerance calls for brotherhood, love, cooperation and tolerance among all people through effective dealing and human unity, Allah say “The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy” Surah Al-Hujurat verse 10. This after they dispersed some of the Islamic calls and groups aiming at smearing the reputations of Islam and Muslims through engaging them with internal conflicts within among themselves. This is what Allah has warned us about and ordered us to unite and gather on his book. Allah, the Almighty say “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you- when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided” Surah Ali Imran, verse 103 and this comes with a precise and correct understanding of the spirit of Islamic jurisprudence.
