المستخلص: Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence thrombocytopenia in patients with chronic kidney disease Method and material: It was a prospective study conducted at Zliten Medical Center Libya. A total of 60 CKD patients participated voluntarily. The study was conducted between 20 January 2019 and 20 March 2019. Results: The result of the study indicated that the prevalence of thrombocytopenia in patients with chronic kidney disease in Libya is 33.9%. Conclusions: The study found a significant number of participants with low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia). This needs further investigation and appropriate action to address the problem.
