The recent decades of the last century witnessed successive and rapid events that made the process of change inevitable in most countries around the world, making the focus on enhancing educational curricula extremely important in an era characterized by massive use of technology. This issue has captured the attention of thinkers and workers in the educational field. Algeria, due to its geographical and cultural area experiencing many developments on the political, social, and security levels, is compelled to keep pace with the wave of technology and is required to balance between the technological and informational development this wave demands on one hand, and preserving the symbols of its civilizational existence on the other. Therefore, the educational reforms in Algeria have dedicated several principles, the first of which is the right to education, and the most important is preserving identity and keeping up with modernization. Our article titled (Educational Reforms in Algeria: Between the Problem of Preserving National Identity and the Challenges of Cultural Globalization) addresses the reality of these reforms by discussing the most important points: - The nature of globalization and its danger to the cultural specificities of peoples. -The role of the educational system in facing the wave of globalization. -Educational reforms in Algeria: Between preserving the components of identity and keeping up with the era of technology. |
