|b This study highlights the importance of the role of specialized banks in supporting economic development in Iraq, with a focus on various sectors such as real estate, industrial, and agricultural. It sheds light on the challenges facing these banks in providing the necessary financing for economic projects and investments, attributed to the constraints related to banking policies and regulations, which hinder their ability to provide adequate financing. The main objective of the study is to highlight the importance of adopting a role for specialized banks in economic development, particularly in Iraq. Subsidiary objectives include understanding the role of these banks, analyzing their impact on the economy, and providing recommendations to enhance their effectiveness. The study's objectives were achieved through a descriptive-analytical methodology. This involved distributing a questionnaire to a sample of administrative and staff members from Iraqi specialized banks, including those focused on agriculture, industry, and real estate. Based on the results obtained from the study of specialized banks in Iraq, it can be concluded that they play a vital role in developing various economic sectors, significantly contributing to sustainable development and improving the quality of life for local communities.
