المستخلص: This research paper aims to explore the mechanisms of conflict and the equation of continuity in contemporary poetic writing, focusing on the poem "Rock of the Dead" by Abd al-Wahhab al-Bayati as a procedural space to illustrate the law of refusal and confrontation. The poem is an open and diverse text that relies on narration and dialogue to write the elegy of the self and humanity in their ongoing struggle for existence. The significance of this study lies in tracing the equation of continuity through the stylistic and rhythmic structures of the poem, establishing a link between meaning and achieved aesthetics. The study leads to an important conclusion: the self transcends reality to write its equation of continuity, using the pathways of textual structures as mechanisms of periodic conflict and resilience.
