This paper explores the themes of Diaspora and transnationalism in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's collection of short stories “The Thing Around Your Neck”. By deconstructing Nigeria's narratives, Adichie examines the complex experiences of Nigerians living both within and outside their homeland. Through the lens of Diaspora, the story deals with the challenges individuals face navigating cultural, social, and political borders. The paper aims to analyze how Adichie addresses themes of displacement, identity, and the power dynamics inherent in migration.
