المستخلص: تدور كتابات الدكتور عماد الدين خليل ودراساته القرآنية حول اتجاهات متعددة في التفسير، منها: الاتجاه التاريخي، والاتجاه العلمي، والاتجاه الإصلاحي، والاتجاه الأدبي، وتتميز كتاباته بقصرها، فيغلب عليها الجانب المقالي، وخاصة ما يتعلق بالدراسات القرآنية؛ لأنه يرى أن القارئ لم يعد له نفس طويل مع الكتاب، فحاول أن يقدم المادة العلمية عن طريق مقال مركز يوصل الفكرة. استطاع الدكتور عماد الدين خليل معالجة قضايا عصرية عديدة ومتنوعة تمر بها المجتمعات المسلمة، ومن أبرزها قضية العدل الاجتماعي، وتوزيع الثروة بين الناس، والتوفيق بنظر ثاقب في آيات الآفاق والأنفس، والاهتمام بالبحث التجريبي، واهتم بالجانب التاريخي مبينا عوامل نهوض الأمم وتقدمها، وسبب تأخرها واندثارها، ومن اهتمامه في دراساته القرآنية نظرته إلى الكون والطبيعة بعين الأديب، الذي يعتني بجمال الصوت والألوان خدمة للنص والتعبير القرآني.

Dr. Imad Al-Din Khalil's writings and Qur'anic studies revolve around multiple trends in interpretation, including: the historical trend, the scientific, the reformist, and the literary trend. His writings are distinguished by their brevity, and are dominated by the essayistic side, especially those related to Qur'anic studies. Because he believes that the reader no longer has a long time with the book, he tried to present the scientific material through a focused article that conveys the idea. Dr. Imad al-Din Khalil was able to address many and diverse modern issues that Muslim societies are going through, the most important of which is the issue of social justice, the distribution of wealth among people, and reconciliation with an insightful look into the verses of horizons and souls, and interest in experimental research. He paid attention to the historical aspect, explaining the factors of the rise and progress of nations, and the reasons for their backwardness and extinction. Among his interest in his Qur'anic studies is his view of the universe and nature through the eyes of a writer, who pays attention to the beauty of sound and colors in the service of the Qur'anic text and expression.
