|b This article discusses one of the core principles of the democratic system, which is the principle of absolute equality. The paper first begins with the definition of equality in the democratic context, then defines the nature of the relationship between this principle and the democratic system, and examines whether it belongs to the static/consistent or the dynamic. The article does not confine itself to the descriptive dimension, but rather deals with the political critique presented by the pioneers of the political philosophy of the principle of equality. Then the paper discusses the Islamic position on the principle of equality, arriving to the conclusion that it is organically linked to the principle of justice. Therefore, Islam limits equality to what has equal earning qualities, then the paper concludes. Talking about equality by mentioning what could be an objection to the Islamic position on the principle of equality. This study relied on the analytical approach in studying the texts related to the principle of equality, as well as on the historical approach in tracing the relationship of the principle to the democratic system
