|a إن الاتجاه نحو التخصص الدقيق كان هو السمة الغالبة على البحث العلمي والتفكير حتى منتصف القرن العشرين، فإن آليات العولمة والثورة المعلوماتية قد فرضت على العالم المعاصر توجهات وأفكار مغايرة تؤكد على وحدة المعرفة وأهمية التكامل بين التخصصات فيما أطلق عليه مصطلح الدراسات البينية. ذلك الاتجاه المعرفي الجديد الذي يؤكد على تشابك وجهات النظر العلمية وضرورة ربط المعلومات في نظام تتصل فيه جميع التخصصات، فضلا عن ارتباط كل هذه المجالات بالعلوم الإنسانية الأخرى: النفسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية وغير ذلك مما يعد حتميا للوصول إلى مخرجات موضوعية للبحث العلمي وتفسير الظواهر وحل المشكلات. وتحظي العلاقات البينية بين التخصصات المختلفة بأهمية ملحوظة في المعرفة الإنسانية الحديثة نظرا للتطور المتسارع في ميادين المعرفة ومجالات البحث العلمي ومناهجه، والتحولات الكبرى في كافة ميادين المعرفة.
|b The trend towards specialization was the dominant feature of scientific research and thinking until the middle of the twentieth century, the mechanisms of globalization and the information revolution have imposed on the contemporary world different trends and ideas that emphasize the unity of knowledge and the importance of integration between disciplines in what has been called interdisciplinary studies. This new Knowledge trend emphasizes the complexity of scientific perspectives and the need to link information in a system in which all disciplines relate, as well as the link between all these areas and other humanities: psychological, social, economic, etc., which is imperative to reach objective outcomes of scientific research, interpretation of phenomena and problem solving. Interdisciplinary relations are of remarkable importance in modern human knowledge due to the rapid development in the fields of knowledge, scientific research and methods, and major transformations in all fields of knowledge.
