|a كان المدائني من المهتمين والملتزمين بالإسناد في أغلب رواياته، كما نقل صورا عن البيئة التي عاش فيها، وعبّر المدائني في كتاباته عن حياديته، وما يميز مؤلفاته هو التنظيم الدقيق للمادة التاريخية، مارس المدائني النقد، ورجع إليه لغرض التأكد من صدق الرواية، وكان من المهتمين بنقد شيوخه أو الثناء عليهم. نقد الروايات المفتعلة مؤشرا أسباب وضعهما وأنها غير حقيقية.
|b Al-Madaini was one of those interested and committed to the chain of transmission in most of his narratives. He also conveyed images of the environment in which he lived. Almadaini expressed his neutrality in his writings and what distinguishes his works is the precise organization of historical material. Al-Madaini practiced criticism, and referred to it to verify the veracity of the narrative. He was interested in criticizing or praising his sheikhs. He criticized fabricated narratives, indicating the reasons for their fabrication and their inauthenticity.
