المستخلص: تشتهر مدينة اللد بتاريخها العريق ودورها الهام في تاريخ فلسطين، إذ شهدت تأثيرا كبيرا زمن الانتداب البريطاني في الفترة من 1917 حتى 1948. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف الأوضاع الخدماتية في مدينة الله إبان مرحلة الانتداب البريطاني وتسليط الضوء على معرفة التحديات والمتغيرات التي واجهتها الخدمات المحلية وتأثيرها على حياة السكان، إذ تناولت الدراسة ستة محاور رئيسية.

The city of Lod is renowned for its rich history and significant role in Palestine's history. It experienced a profound impact during the British Mandate period from 1917 to 1948. The aim of this study was to explore the service conditions in Lod during this crucial period and shed light on the challenges and changes faced by local services and their impact on the lives of residents. The study focused on six main aspects: The first aspect addressed the establishment of the municipality and the public services it provided to the population. The second aspect discussed the presence of public markets in the city and their provision of commercial services. The third aspect explained the essential role of the Arab police in the city and their assistance to citizens. The fourth aspect examined the status of the Mukhtar and their role in providing services to the population. The fifth aspect explored the Sharia court in the city and its functions. The sixth aspect covered communication services, including telephones, radios, and telegraphs.
