|a فرضت العتبة نفوذها ضمن الدراسات الأدبية والنقدية الحديثة، انطلاقاً من كونها تشغل مساحة واسعة من النتاج الإبداعي، فصارت محور اهتمام المؤلف والناقد والقارئ على حد سواء، أن الالتفات للعتبة كان في الثلث الأخير من القرن العشرين، ويمكن تحديد هذه المرحلة بوصفها مرحلة الاهتمام بالهامش، والخروج من دوامة المركز، فمن المعلوم أن العتبات صارت مثار الاهتمام بعد أن توسع مفهوم النص، كان الاحتفاء بالعتبات في أوليته على الرغم مما ترتب عليه من وعي بالنص بشكل متكامل انتقائياً نوعاً ما؛ إذ بالعودة لروايات الأدب الروسي مثلا نلاحظ أن الاهتمام بالعتبات الداخلية لم يُسجل له حضور، بينما كانت العتبات الخارجية حاضرة وبقوة، كما في روايات تولستوي كـ (أنا كارينا) و (البعث) و (الحرب والسلام) ومثلها روايات دستويفسكي كـ (اليالي البيضاء).
