يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على مستوى الصلابة العقلية والشعور بالضغط والقدرة على مواجهة الضغط لدى لاعبي كرة اليد، والتعرف على درجة العلاقة بينهم والتعرف على الفروق بين الفرق الحاصلة على المراكز الأولي والمراكز المتوسطة والمراكز الأخيرة في مستوي الصلابة العقلية والشعور بالضغط والقدرة على مواجهة الضغط لدي لاعبي الدوري الممتاز لكرة اليد. استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي باستخدام الطريقة المسحية على عينة عمدية من لاعبي الدوري الممتاز لكرة اليد وعددهم (۱۱۲) لاعب، ومن أهم نتائج البحث أن مستوى الصلابة العقلية لدى لاعبي كرة اليد في الدوري الممتاز في حاجة إلى مزيد من التدريب والتطوير حيث جاءت في المستوى المتوسط كما أن أبعاد الصلابة العقلية لدي لاعبي كرة اليد جاء ترتيبها النسبي متوافق مع الأهمية النسبية للمتطلبات النفسية للأداء الناجح لرياضة كرة اليد، ووجود علاقة ارتباط طردي بين مستوى الصلابة العقلية والقدرة على مواجهة الضغط ومستوى الشعور بالضغط لدى لاعبي كرة اليد حيث جاءت جميعاً في المستوى المتوسط ، ووجود علاقة ارتباط طردي بين مستوى الأداء في كرة اليد وأبعاد الصلابة العقلية ومستوى القدرة على مواجهة الضغط. ومن أهم توصيات البحث ضرورة الاهتمام ببرامج الإعداد النفسي وتنمية الصلابة العقلية والقدرة على مواجهة الضغط لدى لاعبي كرة اليد والاهتمام بالمتطلبات النفسية لكرة اليد وأهمها مستويات الصلابة العقلية التي هي في حاجة ماسة للتطوير بما يناسب متطلبات الأداء الناجح وخاصة لاعبي الفرق التي تحتل المراكز المتوسطة والأخيرة بقائمة الدوري الممتاز واستخدام مقاييس الصلابة العقلية والقدرة على مواجهة الضغط في عمليات الانتقاء للاعبي كرة اليد.
