|b Autistic children have delayed verbal and social skills, restricted movements, and motor interests. This research explores the impact of design features on autistic children in school classrooms. Design features can create an autism-friendly environment, with general best practices including avoiding vibrant, highly saturated colors and minimizing dramatic contrast. Research suggests blue to green is preferred, with yellow being aversion due to potential over-stimulating effects. Gradual transitions of color and complementary colors in soft gradients are preferred, with contrast limited to functional purposes like boundary definition. The research also explores the use of smart sensors in interior design to achieve independent living for autistic people. The study aims to promote sensory-mitigated design as one of autistic children's needs in building environments. It supports autistic students and aims to highlight the value of sensory design to a larger population. The research also aims to prove that sensory-friendly spaces are comfortable for all while avoiding appropriation to typical users. This aims to raise awareness and alleviate discrimination around autism.
