|a عرف سكان شبه الجزيرة العربية الموسيقى منذ أقدم العصور، وتنوعت تلك الآلات التي عزفوا عليها ما بين الآلات الإيقاعية والوترية وآلات النفخ، وحرصوا على تصويرها وتجسيدها في فنونهم على اختلافها، وعبروا من خلالها عن الأوضاع التي عايشوها من حزن وفرح وانتصار وتعبد، وتعد منطقة نجران من بين أهم المناطق التي وجدت فيها دلائل أثرية على معرفة سكانها للعزف على الآلات الموسيقية المتنوعة، والتي شملت القيثارة والربابة كأداتين وتريتين، وكذلك الدف كآلة إيقاعية، والناي كآلة نفخ.
|b The inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula have known music since ancient times, and the instruments they played varied between percussion, string, and wind instruments. They were keen to depict it and embody it in their various arts, and through it they expressed the situations they experienced of sadness, joy, victory, and worship. The Najran region is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. Among the most important areas where archaeological evidence was found was that its inhabitants knew how to play various musical instruments, including the harp and the rababa as stringed instruments, as well as the tambourine as a percussion instrument and the flute as a wind instrument.
