|a تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إجراء موازنة بين الجانبين النظري والتطبيقي من جهد الأديب والناقد العربي الكبير المرحوم إحسان عباس في كتابة "السيرة الذاتية"، إذ تمثل جهده في الجانب النظري في كتابه "فن السيرة"، الذي وضعه عام ١٩٥٦م، وفصل فيه الحديث بإسهاب عن الدوافع التي تدعو كتاب السير الغيرية والذاتية لوضعهما، وكذلك الغايات والشروط الفنية لكتابتهما والصفات الفنية لكل منهما وأصنافهما. ثم وضع قبيل وفاته بسنوات سيرته الذاتية "غربة الراعي" عام ١٩٩٦م، التي كانت بمثابة تطبيق لتلك العناصر الفنية التي كان تحدث عنها من قبل، ومن هنا جاءت فكرة هذه الورقة لإجراء الموازنة بين هذين الجانبين، فيما يتعلق بالسيرة الذاتية خاصة.

This study aims to make a comparison, between the two aspects theoretical and applied, in the effort of the great Arab writer and critic Ihsan Abbas, in writing the prose genre “autobiography”, his effort was in the theoretical aspect in his book "fann Esseirah", Which he wrote in 1956, that he spoke in detail, about the motives that encourage writers to write biographies, and the goals and technical conditions related to their writing, and the technical characteristics and types of each.
