المستخلص: يدرس هذا البحث عبارة ترددت عند عدد من الصحابة الكرام في مقامات متنوعة، شهدوا فيها أمام رسول الله عليه الصلاة والسلام بقولهم: (أشهد أنك رسول الله)، وقد تناولت معنى العبارة ودرست بلاغتها، وفصلت القول في مقاماتها المتنوعة، وأغراض قولها في كل مقام، ثم إني خرجت بنتائج منها: ارتبط النطق بعبارة الشهادة بمعجزة نبوية حركت الإيمان في نفس الصحابي، وأطلقت لسانه بالشهادة. تنوعت أحوال القائلين لعبارة الشهادة ما بين مؤمن سابق، ومسلم جديد، وهو مؤشر على عمق التأثير النبوي في المشهد الذي جمع بين الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم والصحابي. أسلوب التوكيد من الأساليب المرتبطة بسياق الحال أشد الارتباط، وسببه المتكلم والمخاطب والسياق المحيط بهما. سياق عبارة الشهادة محفوف بمقامات متنوعة: كالشوق والتعظيم والتعجب، والحب، والتصديق والإذعان والتسليم، وهي مقامات مختلفة في المدلول والغرض، متفقة العبارة. وفي الختام أوصى الباحثين بتتبع التراكيب والعبارات التي جرت على ألسنة الصحابة بحضرة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، والتي يجمعها لفظ واحد وتختلف سياقاتها، ودراستها والبحث في بلاغتها، لما فيها من معان بديعة.

This research examined a phrase that was repeated by a number of Prophet’s companions in various occasions, in which they witnessed in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) saying: (I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah). The research aimed at discussing the connotation and the rhetoric of this phrase. Moreover, it shed light on the various occasions in which this phrase was said and the purpose of saying it in each occasion of them. The research reached a number of results, including: In some occasions uttering the Shahada phrase was associated with a prophetic miracle that strengthened the Companion’s faith and, thus, he stressed his belief with this phrase. The occasions of saying the Shahada phrase (i.e. I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah) were various; in some occasions it was said by A-long-time Muslim, in some other it was said by a new Muslim, which is an indication the Prophet’s influence on both types Companions. Affirmation of belief is one of the purposes for which the Shahada phrase was said in some of these occasions. However, the speaker, the person/s addressed, and the context should be taken into account. The contexts in which the Shahada phrase was said are various and it said for numerous purposes, such as: longing, glorification, astonishment, love, and attestation, obedience and submission. The Shahada phrase gave different connotations in different situations, depending on the context and the purpose of saying it, despite the fact that it is the same phrase. In conclusion, the researchers recommended conducting further research of the phrases and the collocations that were used by the Companions in the presence of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), which can be formed of the same words but said in different contexts. Finally, the study recommended examining these phrases in terms of rhetoric, connotation, as well as eloquent meanings.
