عنوان البحث: المصطلحات الحديثية في كتاب (التعريفات) للجرجاني (ت ٨١٦هـ) دراسة نقدية، وقد تناول البحث المصطلحات الحديثية في كتاب (التعريفات) للجرجاني، وقد جعلها على أقسام ثلاثة: الأول: متعلق بالمصطلحات الحديثية باعتبار من تضاف إليه، والثاني: متعلق بالمصطلحات الحديثية باعتبار القبول والرد. والثالث: متعلق بمصطلحات متفرقة في علوم الحديث، فظهر للباحث أن الجرجاني يوافق ما عليه أهل الاصطلاح الحديثي في مواضع يسيرة، وكانت مخالفته لهم ظاهرة، فقد اختط له طريقا في تناول تلك المصطلحات مخالفا لمن تقدمه، بل ظهرت مخالفته لأصحابه الحنفية أيضا في عدد من المصطلحات، ولم يراع طريقة المتأخرين في الحدود والتعريفات، وهو من أهل هذه الصناعة كما هو ظاهر في كتابه. كما تبين أن الجرجاني لم يقصد استيعاب جميع مصطلحات علوم الحديث، ففاته تعريف أكثرها، واقتصر على بضعة عشر تعريفا، فكان في الكتاب قصور من جانبين الاستدراك عليه في صياغة التعريف، وعدم الاستيعاب.
