المستخلص: يعد الرصيد الوثائقي بالأرشيف الوطني الإماراتي والمراكز التابعة له مصدرا أساسيا يتناول البحث تاريخ ميناء خورفكان ودوره الاقتصادي الكبير لإمارة الشارقة خاصة وللإمارات العربية المتحدة عامة، فميناء خورفكان من أهم الموانئ الطبيعية في البلاد منذ القدم، كما أن له دورا اقتصاديا كبيرا نتيجة للنشاط التجاري الكبير الذي قام به سكان المنطقة منذ القدم. وكان ميناء خورفكان مزدحما بالسفن التجارية الكبيرة التي تنقل البضائع من الهند وغيرها من المناطق منذ العصور القديمة مما يدل على أنها كانت ميناء تجاريا هاما، وأن التجارة البحرية كانت تدر دخلا كبيرا على أهل المدينة، مما دفع مجموعة من التجار الأثرياء للإقامة في خورفكان ونهدف إلى معرفة مدي تأثر الأوضاع الاجتماعية لسكان خورفكان نتيجة النشاط التجاري والدور الاقتصادي لميناء خورفكان، وحرص القوي والدول المتعاقبة على السيطرة على خورفكان، كان وصول البرتغاليين إلى المنطقة بداية حقبة جديدة من النضال والفداء ضد المستعمر البغيض، وأبدى سكان خورفكان مقاومة كبيرة سطرتها كتب التاريخ كما نسعى إلى معرفة ذلك الدور الذي قام به سكان خورفكان في الدفاع عن بلدهم ووطنهم ضد المستعمر، وقد قام صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان القاسمي في عام 2019م بتخليد بطولات أهالي خورفكان بمقاومة البرتغاليين، من خلال نصب المقاومة الذي أقامه في خورفكان. ومعرفة الدور الاستراتيجي لميناء خورفكان حيث أنه غير خاضع للتحكم من جهة أخرى على مضيق هرمز مثلا، حيث يمثل هو وميناء الفجيرة البديل الأساسي في حال تعطل الملاحة البحرية عبر مضيق هرمز وغلق الخليج العربي، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج التاريخي والمنهج الوصفي المقارن والمنهج الاستقرائي، للوصول إلى النتائج المرجوة من الدراسة.

This study dealt with the history of The Port of Khorfkka and its great economic role for Sharjah in particular and for the United Arab Emirates in general, the port of Khorfkan is one of the most important natural ports in the country since ancient times, and has a major economic role as a result of the great business activity carried out by the people of the region since ancient times. The port of Khorfkan has been filled with large commercial vessels transporting goods from India and other areas since ancient times, indicating that it was an important commercial port, and that maritime trade was generating a large income for the people of the city, prompting a group of wealthy merchants to stay in Khorfkan. The study aims to find out the extent to which the social conditions of the residents of Khorfkan are affected by commercial activity and the economic role of the port of Khorfkan, and the keenness of the strong and successive countries to control Khorfkan, The arrival of the Portuguese in the region was the beginning of a new era of struggle and redemption against the abhorrent colonizer, and the inhabitants of Khorfkan showed great resistance written by the history books. The study wants to find out about the role played by the people of Khorfkan in defending their country and their homeland against the colonizer, and in 2019 His Highness Sheikh Sultan al-Qasimi immortalization of the championships of the people of Khorfkan to resist the Portuguese, through the monument of resistance he set up in Khorfkan. The study also to find out the strategic role of the port of Khorfkan, where it is not controlled on the other hand on the Strait of Hormuz, for example, where it and the port of Fujairah represent the main alternative in the event of the disruption of maritime navigation across the Strait of Hormuz and the closure of the Arabian Gulf, and the study aims to know the organizational aspects of the port of Khorfkan, the structure of the newly public port, and its equipment, warehouses and container terminal The historical method, the comparative descriptive method, and the inductive method was used in this study to reach the desired results of the study.
