|a يتناول البحث موضوع (دعم الحلفاء للقوات الرومانية في بلاد الإغريق في الفترة من ٢٠٠ حتى ١٩٠ ق. م) ، وهو موضوع مهم جدا في إطار حركة التوسع الرومانية باتجاه الشرق انطلاقا من بلاد الإغريق. وتهدف الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على استغلال الرومان حاجة المدن الإغريقية المختلفة للاستقواء بحليف يمنحها القدرة على مواجهة خصومها. وذلك عن طريق الاعتماد- بدرجة كبيرة- على دعم تلك المدن لوجودهم في بلاد الإغريق والحصول منهم على الدعم بمختلف صوره إسهاما في التصدي ومقاومة أطماع خصومهم أو القضاء عليهم، وقد تضمنت الدراسة حصرا شاملا للدعم من خلال المصادر الكلاسيكية التي تناولت فترة الدراسة. وقد تضمن المناسبة أو الحدث الذي تم تقديم الدعم فيه، والقوى المانحة له، والهدف الذي كانت ترمي إلى تحقيقه من ورائه ثم نوع الدعم وصوره، وكيف تنوع ما بين دعم عسكري أو دعم سياسي أو دعم اقتصادي أو دعم لوجيستي؟ ثم تناول نتائجه وكيف كان تأثيره على سير العمليات العسكرية وأثره على الحلفاء، وما حصلوا عليه من مكاسب نتيجة لتقديمهم الدعم أو مكافأة الرومان لهم. وما مصير العلاقة بين الرومان وبين الداعمين لهم بعد ذلك. وكذلك أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الباحثة من خلال الدراسة.
|b The research deals with the topic "Allied Support for Roman Forces in Greece, 200 – 190 B.C." It is a very important topic in the framework of the Roman expansion movement toward the east, starting from Greece. The study aims to shed light on the exploitation of the Romans' need and various Greek cities to raise the ability of facing their opponents. This is by relying to a large extent on the support of those cities for their presence in the Greek states and obtain support in its various forms as a contribution to confronting and resisting the ambitions of their opponents or eliminating them. The study included a comprehensive inventory of the support through the classical sources that dealt with the study period. It included the event in which the support was provided and the donor cities for this support, the purpose behind this support, then the type of support and its forms and how this support varied between military, political, economic, or logistical support. Then it discussed the results of support and how it affected the conduct of military operations and its impact on the allies and the gains they had as a result of providing support or as the Romans rewarding them. It also dealt with the destiny of the relationship between the Romans and their supporters at that time as well as the most findings of the researcher.
